Tax the Rich; Lay Off the Poor

By Bill Glynn

Timothy Geithner continues to speak out about the expiration of the Bush tax credits.  Alan Greenspan does, too. But even Ben Bernanke encouraged Congress to continue the cuts to support an already very fragile economy.  You see, when you do away with the tax breaks for the “rich” (those making more than $250K a year) and raise capital gains, shove ObamaCare down our throats, tout “redistribution of wealth,” strangle the financial Industry with regulations, and much more to come, it will be a disaster. McCarthyism, guilt by association and all that.  [more...]

Barbara Boxer Gets Hollywood Help

By James Hirsen

Actress, activist, and perennial leftist Jane Fonda recently appeared at a fundraiser for Barbara Boxer who is up for re-election for the U.S. Senate in California. The event was co-hosted by Tobey Maguire and Alyssa Milano and ironically was dubbed “Keep Change Alive.” Anyone familiar with Boxer knows the slogan is completely antithetical to the reputation of the long-serving, do-nothing, radical Dem. Boxer’s wavering campaign is getting an additional assist from another Hollywood comrade, Robert Greenwald. The filmmaker, left-wing activist and founder of Brave New Films has produced an attack video to diminish the appeal of Boxer’s opponent for senate, former head of Hewlett Packard Carly Fiorina. It’s called “The Real Carly.” [more...]
