Profound Trouble Ahead
We have now entered a period of extreme danger for the United States. The American economy is fragile. Jobs are not being created. At best we have a jobless recovery. At worst we are headed back into a period of slow or non-growth. Maybe not a technical recession (6 months of negative growth) but it certainly feels like one. Anecdotally, there suddenly appear to be more “for sale” signs on residential properties and more “store closed” signs on soon-to-be empty storefronts. Weakness like Obama’s invites aggression – political here at home and perhaps military abroad. Look for a bad move made soon by some bad guy against the USA. [more...]
More Fissures Appear Among Democrats Over Spending
By Kyle Olson
A few months ago, Democrats were fighting amongst themselves over ObamaCare. The far-left, socialist wing of the Democratic Party was demanding a single payer health care system, while more moderate Dems were worried about cost (not to mention voter reaction and debt financing of the plan.) Now comes the plan to continue funding the war in Afghanistan, with the fringe of the party wanting to cut off funds and end the war, regardless of the impact it has on Americans on the battlefield. Complicating things has been Big Labor’s idea to add tens of billions of new spending, including a $10 billion plum for teachers unions. That bailout would stem the need for spending reform and concessions at the bargaining table. American public schools are on an unsustainable spending path – a collision course with reality and it’s up to us to divert it. [more...]
Switzerland Sets Roman Polanski Free
By James Hirsen
Ignoring traditional notions of justice, Switzerland’s Ministry of Justice announced that it would not extradite director Roman Polanski to the U.S. to face sentencing for child sex charges and for feeling the jurisdiction. The 76-year-old was set free after being arrested in 2009 for the criminal case, in which he pleaded guilty to having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. Polanski admitted that he indulged in sexual relations with the girl after giving her champagne and Quaaludes during a “photo shoot.” According to CNN the extradition of Polanski was rejected because U.S. authorities did not produce certain legal records Switzerland required. The U.S. vows the continued pursuit of Polanski. [more...]
Berwick to Head Medicaid and Medicare
Obama’s decision to appoint Donald Berwick to head Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) is a confirmation of the intended goal of health care reform. We were promised that: 1) it would mean better care for more people; 2) we would have more choices with more affordable health care; and 3) we could keep the doctor and the services that we wanted. It becomes obvious when you look more closely at the bill and the choice of Mr. Berwick to head the system that bending the cost curve will come at the expense of patients in the form of rationing, and on the backs of doctors who will have their ability to treat patients using the best medical practices severely limited. Croney Crackerism
By Joy Tiz
Just like the New Black Panthers, Barack Obama’s pastor of twenty years embraces black liberation ideology. It’s a virulently radical political ideology that enjoys tax-exempt status. Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC ) ideology is rooted in the writings of Dr. James Cone, author of Black Theology and Black Power, calling for the liberation of black people by any means necessary. Cone taught that Christianity as practiced in the United States is the Antichrist and that white theology is not theology at all. [more...]
Root Elected Chairman of Libertarian National Congressional Committee
Wayne Allyn Root, 2008 Libertarian Party Vice Presidential nominee, has just been elected Chairman of the Libertarian National Congressional Committee (LNCC), the chief national fundraising organization charged with electing Libertarian candidates to federal office. Root said of his new position, “I am honored to serve as Chairman of an organization that sets as its mission electing candidates from coast to coast. I see this organization as a start-up with lots of potential. There are only sixteen weeks until the November elections, so our focus needs to be on building toward 2012 and beyond.”
