Frances Fox Piven Joins Board of Project Vote – What Could Go Wrong?

While ACORN has earned much of the scorn of the press and public in recent months, its voter registration arm, Project Vote, is actually the entity that has been conducting the questionable voter registration drives. Project Vote has been accused of voter registrations fraud in more than a dozen states. Its parent group, ACORN, along with a staff member, are scheduled to be tried for fraud in Nevada in a matter of days. Recently, ACORN was nailed under the RICO Act in Ohio and ordered to never come back to the state. More importantly, the settlement also said ACORN couldn’t simply morph into another organization and cause the same type of trouble in Ohio. [more...]

Talk Radio show hosts are frequently criticized, ridiculed, insulted, mocked, scorned and belittled, especially if they are conservative and support traditional American values. It’s also true that conservative TV hosts are also similarly held in contempt by many on the left who are proponents of socialist policies and programs. Why do progressive socialists and other socialists resort to constant and unrelenting criticism? There’s a surprising answer and it’s found in economics. A war of ideas is raging across America. It’s being waged by secular socialists who abhor American Capitalism, an economic system based on a Judeo-Christian culture and heritage, freedom, and free markets. It’s worth noting that Democrats have always been on the wrong side of civil rights. The Ku Klux Klan was the creation of southern Democrats. Some of us are growing weary of being charged with racism by the party that has a former Klansman serving in the senate. Blacks were abused in America, but not by conservatives. The Communist Party, ever on the lookout for a group to exploit, has always cultivated interracial tension. The useful idiots on the Left rely on divide and conquer. Inciting racial antagonism contaminates the culture and destabilizes the country. Racial harmony provides no advantage to liberals and ‘misery merchants.’ When liberals start howling about racism, the question that must always be asked is: who benefits? [more...]
