Congress Passes Health Care – What’s Next?
Congresses passed the health care bill Sunday night, voting to effectively take over and socialize America’s health care industry and voting against the clear will of the American people articulated in poll after poll. What can we expect next? [I'll tell you more...]
Depend on the Government for Your Healthcare? Good Luck!
The vote is done and we have awakened to a new era. Under the guise of coverage for pre-existing conditions and the security of knowing that you can’t be kicked off your insurance when you really need it, the democrats have pushed through a bill which will lead to the end of health care as we know it. Besides taxing us from everything from our unearned income, to payroll taxes to medical devices, we can look forward to paying into a pot for the next four years. I only hope the money will be available for healthcare [more...]
Predictions
Is the passage of the so-called health care reform really a huge political victory for President Obama and the liberal Democrats? Or is it actually the beginning of their political obituary? Here is what will answer these questions: Underlying everything is the economy, the so-called recovery and the jobs issue. Simply stated: if the economy improves and there is legitimate private-sector job creation, Obama and the Democrats will improve their current abysmal popularity ratings. And if the economy actually exploded into a high-speed recovery, Obama can then get himself re-elected in 2012. He can be viewed as a successful president as opposed to a failed flop like Jimmy Carter. [more...]
The Children Ask: “Is This Constitutional?”
My young daughter Dakota has a few crucial questions that no one in Washington bothered to answer. “Dad, why would we hand healthcare to the same people (government) that have managed the Postal Service into bankruptcy? How is it possible that the same people that are projecting over $200 billion in losses for the postal service will now run healthcare without losing billions? If free healthcare for retirees of the postal service is busting the budget, how can we afford free healthcare for everyone? How can we add over 30 million new people to the healthcare rolls without adding trillions of dollars in cost? Where has universal healthcare been a successful program? If our medical system is so terrible now, why do Canadian citizens come here for treatment? This whole bill defies reason. Someone is obviously lying to us.” [more...]
Is ACORN’s Bankruptcy Claim Just More Deceit?
By Kyle Olson
ACORN, the ultra-secret, keep-the-books-from-the-leadership community organizing group, called the New York Times to say it’s preparing to file for bankruptcy? The corrupt outfit is choosing now to be transparent? Or did it seek that opportunity to call an allied newspaper at precisely the moment conservatives were all in a lather about ObamaCare? Regardless, ACORN leaders “not authorized to speak to the news media” claimed ACORN will soon be filing for bankruptcy. The move could be an armadillo action so the group’s critics will move on to other things. ACORN certainly is down. It has reportedly lost significant private funding. It’s been booted out of Ohio for good. [more...]
Battered Public Syndrome
By Joy Tiz
The Obama administration and the Democrat controlled Congress have created non-stop pandemonium and angst among the American people. Faithful to the Cloward/Piven model of crisis invention, the current administration has managed to keep the entire nation in a state of high tension by way of near daily assaults on reason. Domestic abusers govern exactly the same way. They have to keep their victims off balance, psychologically, and induce a perpetual state of apprehension and confusion. Ultimately, the pawn begins to doubt her own perceptions of reality and develops what psychologists call learned helplessness. [more...]
The Leftist Bullies
By John O’Hara
The tea party movement seems to perpetually be in the crosshairs of the Left’s most insidious propaganda artists. A post on taxpayer subsidized NPR’s blog that’s getting some attention this week features a video by Mark Fiore entitled “Learn to Speak Tea Bag.” The cartoon gives mock step-by-step instructions on what Fiore believes is the modus operandi of tea party activists. Fiore unintentionally serves up a nearly all-inclusive package on all that is dishonest and malicious about the Left’s continued campaign to discredit this wildly popular grassroots force. [more...]
