Clint Eastwood Takes Aim at Obama

By James Hirsen

Clint Eastwood has always been known as an iconoclast in his approach to art and politics. Having served as Carmel, California’s mayor, Eastwood has an appreciation for the job of a chief executive. While out promoting his intriguing “Hereafter” movie, Eastwood did a sit-down with Katie Couric and confounded the news anchor with an Obama slam. “I just don’t think he is governing,” Eastwood told a shell-shocked Couric. “I don’t think he has surrounded himself with the people he could have surrounded himself with.” According to Eastwood, rather than govern, Obama will typically “lay out a certain line and is hoping that people will believe it so he can stay in the position.” [more...]

Today, it is essential that our children graduate high school and college prepared for the fierce competition they will face in the global marketplace.  Their economic survival will be determined by their ability to compete with countries like China, India, and other emerging economies. This requires that our public schools be innovative and effective.  Instead, our schools are using a failed, one-size-fits-all approach to education that may actually end up hurting our children.
