Romney Wins Florida, Election Goes on Despite Establishment Wishes

By Tony Katz

While former Governor Mitt Romney sailed to victory in the Florida Primary with a comfortable 46% of the vote, he has a long way to go to secure the nomination. This has the “establishment” up in arms, as they are woefully too eager to close out this process, disenfranchise the people, and force their concept of electability on America. However, Romney the “electable,” at least in Florida, is not the same as Romney the inevitable. No matter how loudly the establishment will claim that Romney’s win in Florida means that he is the nominee, that hasn’t been established at all.
The Dilemma of Honor Killing in Islam – Honoring the Family Name by Dishonoring their Women

By Al Fadi

Islam prides itself on the fact that one of its hallmarks is bringing honor to women by way of protecting her beauty via the wearing of Hijab, providing for her needs through marriage, and respecting her freedom by sheltering her from the outside world. To Islam, women are not meant to be in public, or to have freedom of choice, nor expression, nor any type of rights that can cause her guardian to lose his control over her [yes, the use of the masculine is intentional].

The Quran claims that women are the source of evil, they are like a sexual field for men to tilt and plant seeds; and it is filled with a host of other verses where women are clearly degraded and humiliated in a book considered to be holy and spoken by Allah (the god of Islam) himself.

In light of the honor killing victims: Jessica Mokdad (Michigan), Tater Harun (Germany), and Noor Almaleki (Arizona) to name a few, not to mention the alleged mass murder of three of the Shafia daughters by their father, mother and brother (Ontario, Canada), one can only wrestle with one huge dilemma that demands an answer: How can Islam bring honor to women when it tolerates dishonoring them for being westernized or at the least for seeking freedom to express their god given gifts and rights? [more...]

Why Community Activists Shouldn’t Run the U.S. Economy

I’ve never been a community activist. And, I’ve never been to a protest, let alone organized one. I’ve been too busy working. I’ve never been in a union. So should I take over as CEO of the biggest union in America? Would you think I’m qualified to run the Teamsters or SEIU? Why would I be so bad for these jobs? Because I have no relevant experience. How can you name someone with no experience in the field as CEO? How utterly ridiculous. So, can someone please explain to me why we elected Barack Obama to run the U.S. economy?

Shame on Big Labor Bosses! For years they have used the tactic of “shame” in an effort to pressure, bully and demonize employers who might stand against their efforts. They have used “shame” in their efforts to misinform the public – to create a misperception that their target is guilty of an unconscionable act and should bear the scarlet letter of these acts. These attacks have been not just against the targeted employer, but against anyone who might oppose them, including the employer’s customers and advertisers, non-union employees, even their own membership if it suits their purposes. Recently, Big Labor has taken the weapon of “shame” to the political arena, both in Wisconsin and now in Indiana.
The 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards have significantly improved the Oscar prospects for the popular movie “The Help.” The film tells a story about the civil rights movement of the 1960s from an African-American maid’s point of view. It has now been propelled to an Oscar favorite, along with the movie “The Artist,” after winning in key categories at the SAG Awards.

America is in shambles from sea to shining sea. Unemployment is nearly at Great Depression levels. The real estate market is still weak and near collapse. And, of course, our U.S. Triple-A credit rating is gone for the first time in history. But this is National School Choice Week and all of that terrible economic news is child’s play compared to our failing government-run education system. The failure of our public school system condemns millions of young Americans to a future with no hope, no advancement, no good jobs, perhaps no jobs at all. Yet through all this doom and gloom, there is a ray of hope – a story of remarkable educational success. “Homeschool to Harvard” is my own story of how my daughter, Dakota Root was home-schooled by her small businessman dad and devoted Christian homemaker mom right here in Las Vegas. And the results are nothing short of amazing.
The Left is in a horrible huff. Once again James O’Keefe, the conservative filmmaker who exposed ACORN, has demonstrated the duplicity of the Left. This time he proved why strict voter ID laws, opposed strongly by the Left, are necessary. In more than 10 minutes of video footage, which has gone viral on the Internet, O’Keefe demonstrated how easy it was in New Hampshire for an individual to pose as a deceased voter and still receive a ballot to vote in an election.
Romney Forces Dominate Florida Airwaves

By James Hirsen

A pro-Mitt Romney ad, which was placed on the Florida television airwaves by a group called Restore Our Future, fiercely attacks former House Speaker Newt Gingrich who is assailed in the ad for having “a ton of baggage” in the form of ethics violations and for having received consulting payments from Freddie Mac. A stream of negative attack ads costing tens of millions of dollars have flooded Florida’s airwaves, and the vast majority of the commercials are being financed by a Super PAC that is seeking to lower the poll numbers of the former House Speaker. The use of Super PACs in political campaigns resulted from a Supreme Court decision two years ago, which ruled that the First Amendment to the Constitution bars government restrictions on corporate and labor union campaign expenditures.

When I watched the video of the Wisconsin teacher snubbing Congressman Paul Ryan, I knew instantly he was little more than an activist teacher seizing his moment. Respect-be-damned, it was his moment to stick it to an ideological foe. He became an instant folk hero for leftists. But the silliness was nothing new for Racine teacher Al Levie. He has a history of using students in his personal political agenda. [more...]

Do Florida Republicans Want Rep. Allen West Out of Office?

By Tony Katz

In the war of words trying to define the concept of “Establishment GOP” in the Presidential contest, it’s the district of Rep. Allen West (R-FL) that is giving the best definition of the term; where Establishment GOP means, “Utterly indifferent to the concept of a better America, with strong tendencies towards self-gratification and otherwise resembling a hard-core leftist progressive.” Florida’s key political blogger Javier Manjarres of Shark-Tank.net first brought up the story, which focuses around the redistricting of Florida due to the 2010 census. That redistricting leaves vulnerable the Florida 22nd, which is the district of Rep. West [more...]

We’re supposed to believe that Mitt Romney is a conservative and the candidate with the best chance to beat Obama in the general election. We’re supposed to believe that he’s got some sort of conservative record. We’re supposed to believe that he’ll be the great conservative savior of the nation. We’re supposed to believe that he was only governing the way he did with moderate and liberal policies in Massachusetts because he had to work with Democrats in a blue state, but in reality he’s purported to be a true conservative. We’re supposed to believe that even though he uses Saul Alinsky’s left-wing methods to attack his competitors that he’s the true conservative.
In spite of NBC trying to fix the debate to hurt Gingrich and help Romney, Gingrich outshined Romney in the Tampa debate by remaining calm, cool, and collected while Romney appeared as a failing candidate grasping at straws to survive through guttural attacks. They don’t understand why this won’t deter Gingrich. Florida is a big state in this campaign and Newt is up against the establishment Republicans, the Democrats, and the media to win it. None of them want Newt to win. They want Romney to win the nomination and the media decided to help him in the process. [more...]

The debates and the campaigns of the two Republican frontrunners have unfortunately turned into an ugly no-rules street fight. Rather than debating some of the most important issues our nation has ever faced, one being whether or not we are going to turn ourselves into Western-Europe, the campaign has been focused on the superficial. In fact, Romney and Gingrich have some pretty sharp contrasts in regards to how they would turn our economic ship starboard. I will explain to your listeners the differences between the two plans and give my take on what will work and what won’t. Call for analysis of President Obama’s economic plan and a report card on the promises made and the promises kept from “Hope and Change 2008.”

Obama and NLRB Continue to Cost Union Jobs

By Dave Bego

Labor union membership continues to be blind to the fact that the support of its “leadership” to President Obama and his political allies is coming at the cost of the members. Big Labor bosses and their political allies are happy to continue to throw the membership under the bus for their own personal gain. For President Obama, this is the prospect of re-election; for the labor bosses, this is the survival of their “way of life.” This can be seen through the President’s actions and comments over the past three years.
Are we becoming slaves of the financial institutions that gamble with our money? Are we rolling over and play dead when Chinese, German and other banks come asking for money that they loaned us so easily? No, my friends, we should not.
Muslim Brotherhood and Obama: Partners In Taqiyya

By Joseph Klein

To convince the world that sharia-based laws protect personal freedoms and human rights for all, Islamists engage in the time-honored Muslim tradition of lying about their own beliefs to conceal their true nature. This form of deception is known as “taqiyya.” Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood is engaging in taqiyya as it prepares to lead Egypt’s newly elected parliament and to assure Egyptian citizens and the world at large that they are peace-loving advocates of universal human rights. The Obama administration is buying this taqiyya hook, line and sinker – and spreading it.
Biggest Rebuke Ever for Mainstream Media

By Wayne Allyn Root

Newt Gingrich may have won South Carolina. But this wasn’t a Newt victory, as much as it was a devastating rebuke to the national media. America may hate politicians, they may hate Congress, they may even give Obama among the lowest ratings in modern history at this point in a presidency. But the mainstream media has now sunk to even lower depths than the politicians. They snicker at the idea that Obama is a socialist. Funny how they ignore a brand new Pew poll that proves that liberal Democrats not only favor socialism over capitalism, but by a wide 59-33 margin they see socialism as a positive. Even more shocking is that the same poll proves that a large majority of African American voters (Obama’s staunchest supporters), by a 55-36 margin, also see socialism as a positive. Shouldn’t alarm bells be ringing in the mainstream media? [more...]

EU Nations Should and Will Eventually Drop Off the Euro

By Guido Lombardi

Are we becoming slaves of the financial institutions that gamble with our money? Are we rolling over and play dead when Chinese, German and other banks come asking for money that they loaned us so easily? No, my friends, we should not. Let’s have judges and justice departments all over the globe check in the cloudy and murky waters of the hedge funds. Let’s demand from our politicians, left and right, to return to the kind of legislation that did NOT allow banks to gamble, but to simply keep our deposits in TRUST, secure and safe.
Mitt Romney Launches Ad War in Florida

By James Hirsen

A new 30-second ad released on Monday, which the Romney campaign is calling “Florida Families,” slams Gingrich for having “cashed in as a D.C. insider.” In television footage, the narrator and displayed text state, “While Florida families lost everything in the housing crisis, Newt Gingrich cashed in.” The ad then has Gingrich saying that he gave advice as a historian, after which the narrator asks, “An historian. Really?” Television ads are paramount in Florida, a state that extends 500 miles from north to south and covers close to 66,000 square miles, diminishing the influence of retail politics on the electoral outcome of the upcoming primary.
A Lesson in Capitalism for Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry

By Wayne Allyn Root

My blue-collar butcher father used to always tell me, “Son, I’d love to hate rich people. But no poor person ever gave me a job.” Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry need a lesson in capitalism from my father. Their attacks on Mitt Romney this week are not just disgusting and insulting, they are ignorant. They’ve ruined their Presidential ambitions and damaged their credibility as conservatives. I’d expect that kind of talk from a socialist like President Obama and his Democratic friends in Congress. Democrat politicians hate businessmen. They’ve never run a business or created a job, so business is like a foreign language to them. [more...]

The path to the GOP nomination is much longer than many want us to believe. Gingrich may have been dealt a devastating blow in Iowa and responded poorly, but last night’s debate in South Carolina shows it may not be anywhere near over. Newt Gingrich has been reeling since Mitt Romney’s Super PAC mercilessly attacked him in Iowa. Clearly Newt took it personally and was hurt by the attacks, which caused him to make a serious mistake by letting his emotions drive his response. Yet it’s interesting that even though it’s said that up to 90% of the monies spent on attack ads in Iowa were for attack ads against Gingrich, the right wing media and the establishment Republican Party were virtually silent about Romney’s Super PAC attacking Gingrich. But the minute Gingrich responded, everyone was all over him for doing so. The walls of protection for Romney went up so fast and so high that it left us in a daze. [more...]

On January 4, 2012, President Obama announced four unilateral appointments, citing the Recess Clause of the Constitution. These involved the appointment of the first director of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray, and appointees to fill three vacancies on the National Labor Relations Board. Predictably, the Obama Justice Department ratified his abuse of his constitutional recess appointment power. In a legal memo dated January 6, 2012, Virginia A. Seitz, the assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel, concluded that the Senate’s “pro forma” sessions counted as recesses even though the Senate did not regard them as recesses. Why? Because the president says so. [more...]

The USA is now ranked 10th in the world in business competitiveness, and in economic freedom, falling behind countries such as Chile and Mauritius. In 2008, I was furious at the fact that we were ranked 5th in the world and offered free market ideas to turn the nation around. Instead we took a sharp left turn. We are now fast becoming a socialist state that takes a back seat to ridiculous government spending that is turning us into a Nanny State. Chris We must change our course immediately lest we go into a socialist death spiral that will be almost impossible to reverse.

Stephen Colbert Prepares for Presidential Run

By James Hirsen

Comedy Central mainstay Stephen Colbert is preparing to make a presidential run. During the taping last Thursday of “The Colbert Report,” the comic transferred his super political action committee (PAC) to Comedy Central colleague Jon Stewart. “This is a difficult decision,” Colbert said. “I’ve talked it over with my money. I’ve talked it over with my spiritual adviser.” As campaigning politicians cannot simultaneously run a super PAC, the transfer allows Colbert to enter the Republican presidential primary in his home state of South Carolina.
The Occupy movement has joined President Obama in targeting, demonizing, denigrating, demagoging, and trying to punish the 1%. They want us to be ashamed that we are successful. They want to create the impression that there is something wrong with success, that we didn’t earn it, that we don’t deserve it. They want to give the 1% a bad name. Well, I’m proud to be part of the 1%. The fake story meant to deceive you, repeated often in the biased liberal media, is that the 1% is made up of people like Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Warren Buffett or assorted Hollywood stars and moguls. First, very few of the 1% are filthy rich with private jets and yachts. Most are self-made small business owners like me – the people who create most of the jobs in our economy. [more...]

It is simply premature to call the race now for Romney. It is also premature for the Paul team to request that everyone but him and Romney drop out of the race. Paul had a strong team in Iowa, and his economic message resonates in NH, but the same cannot be said of Paul in South Carolina. The conventional thinking is that if Romney wins South Carolina, he runs the table. The southern strategy of Gingirch, Santorum and Perry would be left in shreds, as the momentum would be with Romney, and the message would become about party unity. But South Carolina can decide to rely more on its Southern “values,” which would give Gingrich and Santorum a chance to build momentum over the next two weeks.
While out on the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie, Angelina Jolie publicly expressed disappointment with the job performance of President Obama. Jolie was an enthusiastic supporter of then-presidential candidate Obama four years ago. But now she seems to have some misgivings, a sentiment that appears to be a growing among many Hollywood luminaries. When asked about reports that she does not support Obama’s re-election, Jolie told The Daily Caller that she is “disappointed” in “a few things” that Obama has done.
Secret White House Hollywood Party Exposed

By James Hirsen

Up until now the Obama administration had managed to keep secret from the public the existence of an extravagant White House social gathering, which took place a few years back. Officials apparently thought that aspects of the party could potentially have been harmful to the president’s image. The event in question was a gaudy costume ball with an “Alice in Wonderland” theme, which had evidently been planned by actor Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton. New York Times correspondent Jodi Kantor wrote about the 2009 Halloween event in her new book titled “The Obamas.”

During the time period in which the elaborate affair took place, the tea party had been expressing dissatisfaction with the taxpayer-funded bailouts, enormous debt, ballooning deficit, rising unemployment, and a vote that was forthcoming on Obamacare. Apparently, instead of officially announcing that a Hollywood-White House party was in the works, the Obama administration took a hush-hush approach, keeping information about the event from the people and the press.
Media Matters for America a Great Role Model for Girl Scouts

Eric Boehlert, a prominent figure and mercenary at Media Matters for America (MMFA) – the champion of being kind, sweet and loving – thinks that Gov. Chris Christie can’t be elected president because of his weight. MMFA was recently embroiled in a scandal where they were highlighted by a Girl Scout book as a source of media misinformation. Under the headline “Consider the Source,” the book informed these young girls that they should check with MMFA to find out what “lies” are being told in the press. Once exposed, MMFA was removed from the book. Now, after Boehlert’s playground attack on Gov. Christie, one can see what a good thing that is. You don’t want bullies and their “vile comments” to influence the young people, do you?
There’s a scary similarity to the support Ron Paul is getting now and the support Barack Obama got in the 2008 election. These people who chose Obama in 2008 have shown their inability to make a good decision, so why would we follow them in our decision for president in 2012? Recent polling shows that 48% of the supporters of Ron Paul are between ages 17-29. In the 2008 election Barack Obama had a similar support level from young people.
Time to Defund the Rogue NLRB

Newt Gingrich has had his ups and downs lately in the Republican Presidential primary. Though much of the setback has been due to his own miscues, he recently hit the nail on the proverbial head when he proclaimed that the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) should be defunded. There is no doubt that Obama’s recent recess appointments to the NLRB were motivated by his desire to bring Big Labor on board for the 2012 Election run. Newt was correct in stating that defunding the NLRB is the right response to an imperialistic President who intentionally circumvented the spirit of the law for personal gain and philosophical ideology.
Rick Santorum is the new media darling of the GOP presidential race. After coming in second in the Iowa preliminaries, Santorum is being portrayed as the winner. He is gaining more and more attention and publicity from the media.

As the 2012 General Assembly convenes, January will represent a tipping point for all Hoosiers’ individual freedoms, as politicians and big labor bosses are drawing battle lines to determine if Indiana will become the 23rd right-to-work state. Common sense tells us such a battle is counterintuitive, as right-to-work ensures that every employee has freedom of choice against compulsory unionism and the right to one’s own property – his or her labor. Under right-to-work, an employee would not be compelled to join a union. Additionally, security clauses or closed shops that require every employee to be a union member and check-off clauses requiring a company or government entity to collect union dues would be eliminated from collective bargaining agreements.

President Barack Obama has abused his constitutional powers once again. This time, Obama got so frustrated with the way in which the Senate was exercising its constitutional “advice and consent” authority regarding some of his nominations that he leaped ahead to make four so-called “recess” appointments, even though the Senate did not deem itself to be in recess at the time. In accordance with precedents accepted by congressional leaders of both parties and followed during the previous Republican administration, the Senate has determined that by holding “pro forma” sessions every three days, it is not in recess. Nevertheless, Obama disregarded the Senate’s constitutional right to make its own rules on when it is in session, and its “advice and consent” power over presidential nominations, by unilaterally appointing former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray as director of the new controversial Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). He also filled three National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) vacancies. [more...]

Just because Mitt Romney is a moderate and not a true conservative does not mean he shouldn’t have been supported against John McCain in 2008. Santorum’s support for him was because Romney is not as liberal as McCain and, therefore, was the better choice in that race. In fact, if the conservatives are not fortunate enough to get a true conservative nominated to run and Romney gets the nomination instead, it would be far smarter to support Romney in the general election than to give up, stay home, and allow Obama to get re-elected. If he gets the nomination, the choice will be between him and Obama, not him and a conservative. At that point the question will be whether we can afford four more years of Obama or if it’s better to get Romney elected. [more...]

2012 will be the most interesting, significant, exciting, and frightening year in U.S. and perhaps world history. The EU economic collapse will accelerate. Not only are most major European banks insolvent but so are entire EU countries. Eventually this will lead to a massive European economic depression, which will eventually lead to the breakup of the EU and the end of the euro. [more of Wayne's 2012 predictions here...]

With the Iowa caucuses kicking off the primary season to decide the Republican presidential challenger, it is important to reflect on what President Obama will be doing to secure a second term as he has no Democratic challenger. As Obama basks in the warmth of Hawaii for 19 days after three years of failed leadership, political game playing, lack of work ethic and historical divisiveness, he must use this down time to repair strained relations with big labor and pull some magic rabbits out of the hat to have a chance at re-election. Enter the National Labor Relations Board and its radical Obama appointees… [more...]

The Islamists, led by the Muslim Brotherhood, are poised to take control of the newly elected Egyptian parliament. As they consolidate their power internally, the Muslim Brotherhood-led Islamists will likely turn Egypt into a hotbed of jihadism against anything non-Muslim, taking direct aim at the Jewish state of Israel.
The Iowa Caucuses were just held. We’re a long way from the end of the primaries. In fact, since Iowa is a caucus and not a primary, there have still been no primary votes to date. If the grassroots of America would get out and vote in the primaries, it is still possible to push the nomination to a more conservative candidate (than Romney). The choice is not final yet and it is important for voters to get out even in the primaries and support their candidate. If we do not, the establishment will have its way once again and Mitt Romney will be the inevitable nominee, just as other moderates like John McCain, Bob Dole and George H. W. Bush were in the past. [more...]
