Is it Down to Mitt or Rick?

By Doug Johnson

Gingrich might be down. He might even be out… but I sure wouldn’t bet on it yet. With Romney’s attack machine warming up to go after Santorum and the media’s hatred of Santorum’s social conservatism and religion, it is very possible Santorum could find himself back in third, or even in fourth place again. On the other hand, if Romney stumbles in Michigan and even in Ohio, it could be a death knell for his candidacy.  He’s been campaigning for five years and still can’t close the deal.  Conservatives see through his phony claims to conservatism and the Midwest could be his undoing. [more...]

The Jihad Dilemma

By Al Fadi

Whenever a homegrown terror attempt or actual attack by a Muslim takes place, certain media outlets overlook the mention of important details in connection with the terror suspect, such as his/her religious affiliation with Islam and its implication on his/her action. It is unfortunate that political correctness has gone as far as sensitizing the public to the point of overlooking such important facts, which are crucial for our understanding of motives behind such heinous actions, and vital in helping us control our reaction towards innocent Muslims who belong to the terrorist’s culture and/or community of faith. Romney Taps Trump to Stop Santorum

By James Hirsen

Several days ago Mitt Romney’s campaign sent out an SOS to media veteran and star of “Celebrity Apprentice” Donald Trump. The former Massachusetts governor was apparently seeking assistance for the increasingly crucial must-win primary contest in Michigan. At his Las Vegas casino just prior to the Nevada caucuses, Trump gave Romney his endorsement. Now it looks as if the NBC reality star is riding to the rescue. He recently became Romney’s surrogate on local Michigan radio. [more...]

The Truth About Oil

By Christopher Markowski

Iran, OPEC, evil oil companies and hurricanes… oh my! What in the world is driving oil prices? The price we are paying at the pump has never been so high at this time of the year.  The media is already speculating that we will be paying $5 at the pump very soon.  Since Obama has taken office, the price of oil has risen by over 86%.  The media is always coming up with different reasons as to why oil prices rise and fall, and more often than not, they are dead wrong. I will explain to your listeners what is driving the skyrocketing cost of oil.  Are there political forces at work?  Is it the result of our monetary policy?  Is speculation to blame?  What about BIG OIL? Leftist Caller Wishes Rape on Radio Host Dana Loesch

By Tony Katz

On Monday, I filled in for Dana Loesch, and discussed the controversial commentary by Keith Olbermann who denies that rapes have occurred at Occupy events around the country and the most recent words from Slate.com that compares a Virginia law (requiring an ultrasound before an abortion) to rape. The phone lines were open, and a caller named “Brenda” was brought on to the show. Brenda voiced her displeasure over Loesch’s supposed position on sex and rape, and then put out this violent gem: “And a woman to say that about other women, saying maybe they shouldn’t have had sex in the first place. I hope she (Loesch) winds up in the same circumstance as the women she is talking down to…” [more...]

Things that Make Obama Angry in Park City, Utah

By Wayne Allyn Root

I just returned from a “working vacation” at my Park City, Utah, vacation home. As I was sitting on the plane reading the newspaper, I noticed that President Obama’s new 2013 budget is out, and it’s chock full of $1.5 trillion in tax increases on the wealthy. Some people never learn. Suddenly, I realized that just about everything I do in Park City makes Mr. Obama and his leftist cabal angry. My vacation experience is proof positive that the president understands nothing about economics or creating jobs. [more...]

Oliver Stone’s Son Converts to Islam

By James Hirsen

While on a trip to Iran, the son of U.S. filmmaker Oliver Stone converted to Islam, according to the Fars news agency. Sean Stone went to the office in Isfahan of Shiite cleric Ayatollah Mohammad Nasseri Dowlatabadi and recited the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith. Shortly thereafter he changed his name to Ali. In an interview with the AFP, the younger Stone referenced his background of having been born to a Jewish father and a Christian mother. “The conversion to Islam is not abandoning Christianity or Judaism, which I was born with,” Stone said. “It means I have accepted Mohammad and other prophets.” [more...]

Spinning the Obama-conomy

By Joseph Klein

The Obama spin machine is in overdrive trying to fool the American people about President Obama’s dismal record in office. His campaign has a Web site called AttackWatch devoted to fighting back against what the Obama spin machine claims are “false attacks on the President.” First, the Obama spin machine is trying to convince the American people that the economy has substantially improved under Obama’s watch, evidenced by the lower January unemployment rate of 8.3%. We’re all happy that the unemployment rate appears to be going down (although it is still higher than when Obama took office). However, there are questions as to how the 8.3% rate was calculated. Nearly three million people are not being counted as part of the labor force in the Bureau of Labor Statistics calculation of the unemployment rate. They are arbitrarily excluded from the base labor pool as if they did not exist. [more...]

GOP Race – Still Searching for Someone to Believe In

By John LeBoutillier

The entire Republican Presidential race is – and has been for a year – a race to stop Mitt Romney and a stolid, tired, old, constipated, GOP Establishment from jamming a boring, non-conservative candidate down our collective throats for the second consecutive presidential race. Back in 2007-2008 no one inside the GOP liked John McCain – and yet we were saddled with him. He was a lousy political candidate. He was – and still is – a prickly, un-likeable man. Now, in 2012, the same GOP Establishment is foisting on us another man that no one likes: Mitt Romney. [more...]

The economy is in a terrible shape. Canadian oil goes to China together with American jobs. Millions of people are on unemployment and food stamps. Despite all that, the polls are showing that Obama is beating each and every Republican candidate running for the highest office in the land. Why? Did we reach the point of no return when more than half of the citizens of this great country became takers who receive from the pot without contributing to it? Did we reach the Democratic Party “strategic dream” of a welfare state where most of the voters want to preserve the status quo and defend their unemployment check fearing that the other guys will take it from them? January and the exuberance of the New Year are coming to a close. Gone are the midnight kisses and the champagne wishes. Will the $80 Million Teacher Training Grant Go to Waste?

By Andrew Campanella

When it comes to training new math and science teachers to prepare the next generation of children for the challenges of the future, will President Obama replicate sound, proven, cost-effective educator certification practices pioneered by education reformers? That’s the question I asked yesterday, when I learned of President Obama’s newly minted plan to grant $80 million to the U.S. Department of Education for a competition among the states to support innovative teacher preparation programs, with an end goal of recruiting 100,000 new math and science teachers. Romney Wins CPAC Straw Poll – Does this Prove His Conservatism?

By Doug Johnson

The CPAC Straw Poll is interesting, but has no significant meaning in the race for the GOP nomination. As soon as it was announced that Romney had won the CPAC Straw Poll, people began claiming that this was final proof that he’s a conservative.  That makes about as much sense as saying he’s a conservative because his wife said so. Government’s Latest Shakedown: $25 Billion – Today’s Outrage

By Christopher Markowski

When U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan announced the federal government and 49 state attorneys general reached a $25 billion agreement with the nation’s five largest mortgage servicers to address mortgage loan servicing and foreclosure abuses, something is definitely happening on Shakedown Street. Mr. Obama, We Don’t Have a Tax Problem, We Have a Spending Problem

By Wayne Allyn Root

Did you see President Obama’s new 2013 budget? It’s filled with $1.5 trillion in tax increases for the rich. It appears that the president and his leftist cabal believe we are all stupid. They believe if you tell enough lies, the lies become fact. They spend all day, every day, trying to convince Americans that taxes on the rich are too low. The reality is taxes are not low at all. If you think they are, you’ve either been brainwashed or you aren’t paying taxes. The truth is: The taxes are too damn high. [more...]

America to Washington: We Don’t Want What You Have to Offer

By Doug Johnson

Contrary to what the media and establishment Republican Party want to make you think, conservatives do not accept Romney as one of their own. Rick Santorum blew away his competitors Tuesday in Minnesota, Missouri, and Colorado.  And as quickly as they could, Romney’s campaign immediately started damage control with the media right behind them to help.  Reports went around that while it was nice that Santorum had done well, the states where he’d won weren’t really important and it really didn’t mean anything about the acceptance of Romney by conservatives.  Between the press and Romney’s campaign scrambling to downplay the losses, it was almost reminiscent of how the Obama campaign and the media reacted to any losses they had in the 2008 primaries.  But then again, I shouldn’t forget that George Soros thinks Romney and Obama are essentially the same so why should I be surprised if the reaction to the election results is similar? [more...]

Firm That Made Clint Eastwood Ad Has Obama Ties

By James Hirsen

After a controversy arose over his recent Super Bowl Chrysler ad, noted actor and director Clint Eastwood tried to distance himself from any perceived political content in the spot. “I am certainly not politically affiliated with Mr. Obama,” Eastwood said. “It [the ad] was meant to be a message just about job growth and the spirit of America. I think all politicians will agree with it. I thought the spirit was OK.” The actor-director added that he was “not supporting any politician at this time.” Eastwood, a registered Republican and self-described libertarian supported John McCain’s presidential candidacy over then-candidate Barack Obama. Eastwood may not have any ties to the Obama administration, but the firm that generated the ad apparently does. [more...]

Union Upset by Comments From Emanuel on Schools

By Kyle Olson

As the Chicago Public Schools begin what are certain to be contentious contract talks with the Chicago Teachers Union, Mayor Rahm Emanuel emerged as the star of a new online video criticizing the union and promoting charter schools, whose teachers mostly are not unionized. An interview with Mr. Emanuel is a highlight of the 35-minute video, produced by the Michigan-based Education Action Group Foundation and the Fox News political analyst Juan Williams, who narrates the video, saying the union is “radically politicized” and is “repeatedly providing terrible examples for Chicago’s schoolchildren.” Watch Kyle on Fox & Friends.  [more...]

It’s Over… Or is it?

By Doug Johnson

Mitt Romney has won 8.8% of the delegates needed to win the nomination.  But there’s a long way to go, a lot of voters who are not happy with him, and plenty of time for things to change. The last time I checked, 8.8% wasn’t enough to lock up anything.  Try making an 8.8% payment on your mortgage and see if you get to keep the house without paying more. Mitt Romney has won 3 of the 5 primary/caucus contests so far.  There are a total of 56 primaries and caucuses. A candidate must have 1,144 delegates to win the GOP nomination.  Mitt has won 101 delegates so far (that’s according to the Wall Street Journal  – they show the highest number I could find for him as of this writing.  The numbers vary depending on where you look.).  Those 101 delegates are only 8.8% of the delegates he needs to be nominated – far from enough to claim that anything is a sure bet. Trashing the Constitution

By Joseph Klein

Every Supreme Court justice is required, under Article VI of the U.S. Constitution, to be bound by his or her oath or affirmation “to support this Constitution.” Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has just broken this commitment by insulting, in front of a foreign audience, the very document she is sworn to support. In an interview during her visit to Cairo, which aired January 30, 2012 on Al-Hayat TV, Justice Ginsburg advised the Egyptian people to ignore the U.S. Constitution in preparing their own new constitution. It’s just too “old,” she said. Instead, Justice Ginsburg lavished praise on several post-World War II foreign documents such as the South African constitution, Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and the European Convention on Human Rights. American Jobs Fallacy

The mainstream media could hardly hold back their glee with the January jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which showed our unemployment rate dropping to 8.3%. Hold the Dom Perignon!  The numbers are not what they seem.  In a report worthy of Soviet Central Planning, a record 1.2 million people “disappeared” from the labor force last month.  The labor participation rate is now down to a fresh thirty year low.  When looking at the internal numbers even closer, it actually gets worse. Christopher Markowski will explain to your listeners what the jobs picture is like in the “real world,” and what needs to be done to get us back on the job creation track.  Do any of the candidates have the right stuff on job creation?

Rapper Threatens Romney with Legal Action

By James Hirsen

Someone other than Newt Gingrich is now upset with Mitt Romney. A rapper has publicly complained that the Republican presidential candidate used his song “Wavin’ Flag” without permission. Somali-born, Canadian-based rapper and songwriter K’Naan has released a statement indicating the Romney campaign had played the song without consent after Romney’s Florida primary victory speech. K’Naan said even if the campaign had sought approval, he would not have granted permission. However, the rapper indicated that he would happily grant President Barack Obama’s campaign authority to use the song. K’Naan said he is seeking legal action to make sure Romney does not use his song again. [more...]

Romney Wins Florida, Election Goes on Despite Establishment Wishes

By Tony Katz

While former Governor Mitt Romney sailed to victory in the Florida Primary with a comfortable 46% of the vote, he has a long way to go to secure the nomination. This has the “establishment” up in arms, as they are woefully too eager to close out this process, disenfranchise the people, and force their concept of electability on America. However, Romney the “electable,” at least in Florida, is not the same as Romney the inevitable. No matter how loudly the establishment will claim that Romney’s win in Florida means that he is the nominee, that hasn’t been established at all. [more...]

The Dilemma of Honor Killing in Islam – Honoring the Family Name by Dishonoring their Women

By Al Fadi

Islam prides itself on the fact that one of its hallmarks is bringing honor to women by way of protecting her beauty via the wearing of Hijab, providing for her needs through marriage, and respecting her freedom by sheltering her from the outside world. To Islam, women are not meant to be in public, or to have freedom of choice, nor expression, nor any type of rights that can cause her guardian to lose his control over her [yes, the use of the masculine is intentional].

The Quran claims that women are the source of evil, they are like a sexual field for men to tilt and plant seeds; and it is filled with a host of other verses where women are clearly degraded and humiliated in a book considered to be holy and spoken by Allah (the god of Islam) himself.

In light of the honor killing victims: Jessica Mokdad (Michigan), Tater Harun (Germany), and Noor Almaleki (Arizona) to name a few, not to mention the alleged mass murder of three of the Shafia daughters by their father, mother and brother (Ontario, Canada), one can only wrestle with one huge dilemma that demands an answer: How can Islam bring honor to women when it tolerates dishonoring them for being westernized or at the least for seeking freedom to express their god given gifts and rights?  [more...]

Why Community Activists Shouldn’t Run the U.S. Economy

I’ve never been a community activist.  And, I’ve never been to a protest, let alone organized one. I’ve been too busy working. I’ve never been in a union. So should I take over as CEO of the biggest union in America? Would you think I’m qualified to run the Teamsters or SEIU? Why would I be so bad for these jobs?  Because I have no relevant experience. How can you name someone with no experience in the field as CEO? How utterly ridiculous. Big Labor Bosses Demonstrate Why RTW is Necessary – Shame on Them!

By Dave Bego

Shame on Big Labor Bosses! For years they have used the tactic of “shame” in an effort to pressure, bully and demonize employers who might stand against their efforts. They have used “shame” in their efforts to misinform the public – to create a misperception that their target is guilty of an unconscionable act and should bear the scarlet letter of these acts. These attacks have been not just against the targeted employer, but against anyone who might oppose them, including the employer’s customers and advertisers, non-union employees, even their own membership if it suits their purposes. Recently, Big Labor has taken the weapon of “shame” to the political arena, both in Wisconsin and now in Indiana. [more...]

How My Child Went from Home School to Harvard… and Yours Can, Too

By Wayne Allyn Root

America is in shambles from sea to shining sea.  Unemployment is nearly at Great Depression levels.  The real estate market is still weak and near collapse.  And, of course, our U.S. Triple-A credit rating is gone for the first time in history.  But this is National School Choice Week and all of that terrible economic news is child’s play compared to our failing government-run education system.  The failure of our public school system condemns millions of young Americans to a future with no hope, no advancement, no good jobs, perhaps no jobs at all.  Yet through all this doom and gloom, there is a ray of hope – a story of remarkable educational success.  “Homeschool to Harvard” is my own story of how my daughter, Dakota Root was home-schooled by her small businessman dad and devoted Christian homemaker mom right here in Las Vegas.  And the results are nothing short of amazing. Left Demands James O’Keefe’s Head Over Voter Fraud Expose

By Joseph Klein

The Left is in a horrible huff. Once again James O’Keefe, the conservative filmmaker who exposed ACORN, has demonstrated the duplicity of the Left. This time he proved why strict voter ID laws, opposed strongly by the Left, are necessary. In more than 10 minutes of video footage, which has gone viral on the Internet, O’Keefe demonstrated how easy it was in New Hampshire for an individual to pose as a deceased voter and still receive a ballot to vote in an election. Romney Forces Dominate Florida Airwaves

By James Hirsen

A pro-Mitt Romney ad, which was placed on the Florida television airwaves by a group called Restore Our Future, fiercely attacks former House Speaker Newt Gingrich who is assailed in the ad for having “a ton of baggage” in the form of ethics violations and for having received consulting payments from Freddie Mac. A stream of negative attack ads costing tens of millions of dollars have flooded Florida’s airwaves, and the vast majority of the commercials are being financed by a Super PAC that is seeking to lower the poll numbers of the former House Speaker. The use of Super PACs in political campaigns resulted from a Supreme Court decision two years ago, which ruled that the First Amendment to the Constitution bars government restrictions on corporate and labor union campaign expenditures. That redistricting leaves vulnerable the Florida 22nd, which is the district of Rep. West [more...]

NBC Fixing GOP Debate Won’t Bolster Romney or Keep Gingrich Down

By Doug Johnson

In spite of NBC trying to fix the debate to hurt Gingrich and help Romney, Gingrich outshined Romney in the Tampa debate by remaining calm, cool, and collected while Romney appeared as a failing candidate grasping at straws to survive through guttural attacks.  They don’t understand why this won’t deter Gingrich. Florida is a big state in this campaign and Newt is up against the establishment Republicans, the Democrats, and the media to win it.  None of them want Newt to win. They want Romney to win the nomination and the media decided to help him in the process. [more...]

Economic Super Bowl – Mitt vs. Newt

By Christopher Markowski

The debates and the campaigns of the two Republican frontrunners have unfortunately turned into an ugly no-rules street fight.  Rather than debating some of the most important issues our nation has ever faced, one being whether or not we are going to turn ourselves into Western-Europe, the campaign has been focused on the superficial. In fact, Romney and Gingrich have some pretty sharp contrasts in regards to how they would turn our economic ship starboard.  I will explain to your listeners the differences between the two plans and give my take on what will work and what won’t.  Call for analysis of President Obama’s economic plan and a report card on the promises made and the promises kept from “Hope and Change 2008.”

Obama and NLRB Continue to Cost Union Jobs

Labor union membership continues to be blind to the fact that the support of its “leadership” to President Obama and his political allies is coming at the cost of the members. Big Labor bosses and their political allies are happy to continue to throw the membership under the bus for their own personal gain.
