The Ground Zero Mosque Controversy Is NOT About Religious Freedom
This proposed building of a mosque on hallowed ground is an ATROSITY towards America. To build a celebration of Islam within steps of 9/11 does nothing to increase religious freedom… it inspires hatred, divides our cultures, and increases the odds of violence and hate crimes. Common sense suggests this mosque, being built in this specific location, is NOT being built as a sign of friendship between Muslims and Americans…but rather as a sign of the lack of respect – a belief in our weakness – and an attempt to embarrass and belittle us. The financial district of Manhattan is not a residential area with a large number of Muslim residents for the mosque to serve. Therefore, common sense suggests that the only possible reason to build it there (rather than in Brooklyn or Queens where there are large Muslim populations) is to show Muslim contempt for Americans by building a monument to Islam in the shadow of the site of their greatest triumph over America. It is an offense to build a mosque in that location – an offense to all Americans (including Muslim Americans), all Christians and Jews, all relatives of 3,000 dead heroes at the World Trade Center. ‘Civil Rights’ Organizations Stand with Unions, Against Obama and Education Reform
By Kyle Olson
Every now and then, I kind of feel sorry for President Obama. If there’s anyone that has seen bad schools, it would be a community organizer from the south side of Chicago. President Obama has rolled out a series of education reforms, tepid as they may be, with the goal of improving America’s schools. To say the least, many of America’s schools, particularly in urban areas, are downright pathetic. You can almost count on dismal student performance, union employees sucking the financial life out of the district, and an assembly line, one-size-fits-all mentality that actually produces graduates who can’t read their own diplomas. Tax the Rich; Lay Off the Poor
By Bill Glynn
Timothy Geithner continues to speak out about the expiration of the Bush tax credits. Alan Greenspan does, too. But even Ben Bernanke encouraged Congress to continue the cuts to support an already very fragile economy. You see, when you do away with the tax breaks for the “rich” (those making more than $250K a year) and raise capital gains, shove ObamaCare down our throats, tout “redistribution of wealth,” strangle the financial Industry with regulations, and much more to come, it will be a disaster. The simple fact is if you tax people more, they will have less money to spend and invest and, worse, much less money to hire workers and a corporate tax rate that will be #2 in the world. Think about it and don’t forget how much more attractive it’s going to be for big companies to do business overseas. [more...]
Obama on The View
By Joy Tiz
Who hasn’t been waiting for this? The leader of the free world in a forum that actually matches his gifts. Obama will be back on the View for a full hour. Hey, it’s not like he’s got anything else to do. The president is heading to New Jersey to spew a lot of phony gibberish about the economy. Instead of the gawd awful coven at the View, couldn’t he sit down with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie? A chat with Governor Christie about the economy – now that would get my attention. [more...]
Oliver Stone Weighs In on Mel Gibson’s Career
By James Hirsen
In a previous column, I opined that Mel Gibson, a business associate and friend, would still have a career in the movie business when the latest controversy surrounding him concludes. It seems that Hollywood filmmaker and dictator devotee Oliver Stone agrees with me. While most media experts and Hollywood power players were busy declaring Gibson’s career over, Stone disagreed and suggested that, in the long run, Gibson will once again be able to work in Hollywood. “Everyone is supposed to have an opinion, but most directors don’t work that way,” Stone told the U.K. Sun after being asked whether directors would work with Mel in the future. In Hollywood, he pointed out, “Projects are developed slowly, and over the course of weeks, months, there will be projects, and I am sure many of them will want to have Mel Gibson in them.” [more...]
