Traditional Media Defends Its Turf, Helps to Eject New Media from Indiana Public Meeting

By Kyle Olson

Apparently in Indiana, some public meetings are less public than others. My organization, Education Action Group Foundation, is currently producing a documentary film on public education.  We have been spending the last several months interviewing stake holders of the behemoth, tax-gobbling system: school board members and administrators, taxpayers, parents, legislators, reporters and teachers’ union presidents. Apple: We Heart Che, but Beck’s a Hate Monger

By Joy Tiz

Ignorant ‘No Child Left Behind’ beneficiaries can now have their beloved Che Guevara on their iPhones to compliment their Che T-shirts and footie PJs. Humberto Fontova at American Thinker shares some evocative Che quotes that may not appear on junior’s iPhone.  So deeply wounded are the powers that be at Apple by Beck’s “hate mongering” that they have abandoned Fox News entirely – a shrewd business move if ever there was one, as Fox viewership is higher than all other cable news networks combined. Sandra Bullock’s Advice to Tiger Woods’ Wife

By James Hirsen

Sandra Bullock once gave some advice to Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, which now seems ironic. A couple of months ago when Bullock apparently saw her marriage to Jesse James as solid, she commented on Woods’ extramarital activities while on the red carpet outside the People’s Choice Awards, according to the New York Post. A reporter from the entertainment television show, “The Insider,” brought up to Bullock the story of Woods’ Thanksgiving Eve SUV collision with a fire hydrant, and how Nordegren had reportedly taken out a car window with a golf club in an effort to rescue her husband. “If I were Elin, man,” Bullock said, “I would have hit a lot more than she did.” [more...]

Looking for Mr. Conservative

By John LeBoutillier

Long before we on the right can worry about defeating President Obama in 2012, we have to come up with an electable – and presidential – candidate, one who, if elected, will run the country according to traditional, conservative economic and foreign policy principles. And the key to that task is to find a candidate who can unite all the disparate factions and groups on the right and also appeal to the all-important independent voters, especially the tea partiers who have become disgusted with both political parties. In other words, this first 2012 primary is the race to be anointed Mr. Conservative. [more...]

‘How to Train Your Dragon’ Reaches No. 1

By James Hirsen

DreamWorks’ computer animated 3-D flick, “How to Train Your Dragon,” was the number one movie for the weekend. There are some typical Hollywood peacenik themes in the movie particularly in the discussions between the Viking dad and son about whether dragons are really enemies or just misunderstood creatures. Some critics are hailing the film for instilling in children the concept of understanding our enemies and not demonizing them. The real message of the film is not to judge by appearances, which is a good axiom for story lovers of all ages to live by. “Dragon” is one of those movies that families can enjoy together. It combines humor, action and heart-warming scenes that charm young and old. [more...]

Top Senate Dem Admits Un-American Health Bill was to Address ‘Mal-Distribution of Income’

By Kyle Olson

Now Max Baucus tells us: the health care overhaul America was just forced to endure was the government’s attempt to fix the “mal-distribution of income.”  It’s an admission that sadly comes after the bill has passed and been signed by President Obama.  But it’s better late than never. While the acknowledgment likely wouldn’t have stopped the legislation because chances are it was common knowledge behind closed doors, at least the admission has now become public.  And it proves the point the whole exercise had nothing to do with Americans’ health and more to do with the Marxist concept of “redistributing” wealth. Castro Endorses ObamaCare

By Joy Tiz

The Democrats win the coveted Fidel Castro endorsement for passing the health crimes bill: “Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro declared passage of American health care reform ‘a miracle’ and a major victory for Obama’s presidency, but couldn’t help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago. ‘We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama’s) government,’ Castro wrote in an essay published in state media, adding that it would strengthen the president’s hand against lobbyists and ‘mercenaries.’” [more...]

Depend on the Government for Your Healthcare? Good Luck!

By Dr. Elaina George

The vote is done and we have awakened to a new era. Under the guise of coverage for pre-existing conditions and the security of knowing that you can’t be kicked off your insurance when you really need it, the democrats have pushed through a bill which will lead to the end of health care as we know it. Besides taxing us from everything from our unearned income, to payroll taxes to medical devices, we can look forward to paying into a pot for the next four years. I only hope the money will be available for healthcare [more...]

Predictions

By John LeBoutillier

Is the passage of the so-called health care reform really a huge political victory for President Obama and the liberal Democrats? Or is it actually the beginning of their political obituary? Here is what will answer these questions: Underlying everything is the economy, the so-called recovery and the jobs issue. Simply stated: if the economy improves and there is legitimate private-sector job creation, Obama and the Democrats will improve their current abysmal popularity ratings. And if the economy actually exploded into a high-speed recovery, Obama can then get himself re-elected in 2012. He can be viewed as a successful president as opposed to a failed flop like Jimmy Carter. [more...]

The Children Ask: “Is This Constitutional?”

By Wayne Allyn Root

My young daughter Dakota has a few crucial questions that no one in Washington bothered to answer. “Dad, why would we hand healthcare to the same people (government) that have managed the Postal Service into bankruptcy? How is it possible that the same people that are projecting over $200 billion in losses for the postal service will now run healthcare without losing billions? If free healthcare for retirees of the postal service is busting the budget, how can we afford free healthcare for everyone? How can we add over 30 million new people to the healthcare rolls without adding trillions of dollars in cost? Where has universal healthcare been a successful program? If our medical system is so terrible now, why do Canadian citizens come here for treatment? This whole bill defies reason. Someone is obviously lying to us.” [more...]

Is ACORN’s Bankruptcy Claim Just More Deceit?

By Kyle Olson

ACORN, the ultra-secret, keep-the-books-from-the-leadership community organizing group, called the New York Times to say it’s preparing to file for bankruptcy?  The corrupt outfit is choosing now to be transparent? Or did it seek that opportunity to call an allied newspaper at precisely the moment conservatives were all in a lather about ObamaCare? Regardless, ACORN leaders “not authorized to speak to the news media” claimed ACORN will soon be filing for bankruptcy. The move could be an armadillo action so the group’s critics will move on to other things.  ACORN certainly is down.  It has reportedly lost significant private funding.  It’s been booted out of Ohio for good. Battered Public Syndrome

By Joy Tiz

The Obama administration and the Democrat controlled Congress have created non-stop pandemonium and angst among the American people.  Faithful to the Cloward/Piven model of crisis invention, the current administration has managed to keep the entire nation in a state of high tension by way of near daily assaults on reason. Domestic abusers govern exactly the same way.  They have to keep their victims off balance, psychologically, and induce a perpetual state of apprehension and confusion. Ultimately, the pawn begins to doubt her own perceptions of reality and develops what psychologists call learned helplessness. [more...]

The Leftist Bullies

By John O’Hara

The tea party movement seems to perpetually be in the crosshairs of the Left’s most insidious propaganda artists.  A post on taxpayer subsidized NPR’s blog that’s getting some attention this week features a video by Mark Fiore entitled “Learn to Speak Tea Bag.”  The cartoon gives mock step-by-step instructions on what Fiore believes is the modus operandi of tea party activists.  Fiore unintentionally serves up a nearly all-inclusive package on all that is dishonest and malicious about the Left’s continued campaign to discredit this wildly popular grassroots force. Not Our Cup of Tea

By John O’Hara

The decision of Jon Scott Ashjian to take on Harry Reid is curious to say the least. He’s running as the “tea party” candidate, though few activists have ever heard of him. Many have suggested he is a plant from the Reid camp intended to split the opposition vote.  I hesitate to attempt to discern people’s motives; I simply don’t see what he brings to the table other than the risk of splitting the common-sense government vote, resulting in a Reid victory. Will America Run Out of Sugar? The Situation is Not Very Sweet

By Gerard Lameiro

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that some companies are concerned that the government’s quotas on sugar imports might result in America running out of sugar.  So, what’s going on with sugar any way?  What’s the problem? Well, the situation is not very sweet.  Instead of a completely free market in sugar, America’s USDA regulates how much sugar can be imported into the U.S.  Currently America produces most of the sugar it needs for domestic use. But, about 15% of its requirements for sugar must come from other countries.  These imports are tightly regulated by the USDA, ostensibly to help out American farmers (yet, hurting American consumers at the same time). Ohio Senator Acknowledges Any Health Reform Bill Will Lead to Public Option

By Kyle Olson

When President Obama hit the campaign trail in an attempt to sway Dennis Kucinich (yes, he’s reaching so low in the barrel, he’s trying to convince Dennis Kucinich), the administration began its full-court press on its allies. As has been said here and elsewhere a zillion times: the American people don’t want what the Democrats are offering.  But an acknowledgement by Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown on the Rachel Maddow Show gives an even better reason to oppose the legislation: it’s simply a wedge in the door to a “public option.” [more...]

Obama’s Leftist Roots

By Joy Tiz

Details are scant about Obama’s time at Occidental College in California and Columbia University.  We know that at Columbia, Obama studied under rabid anti-American, pro-terrorist Edward Said who was eventually discredited for making up his own fictional life story narrative that formed the foundation of his grievances against Israel. There is no dispute that Obama and Khalidi have been friends for years.  In 2003, Obama attended a party for Khalidi to celebrate his transfer to Columbia.  The party was sponsored by the Arab American Action Network (AAAN), which had been founded by Khalidi and his wife.  In an amazing coincidence in a long series of amazing coincidences, AAAN just happened to receive money from the Woods Fund, a Leftist organization.  On the Woods Fund board: Obama and Ayers. Amazing!  The truth is that Khalidi, Ayers, and Obama were practically best friends. [more...]

By Brigitte Gabriel

Al-Qaida and other Islamic groups are actively targeting blacks, Hispanics and single mothers in the U.S. as a part of building Al-Qaida’s American arm in its war against America. In the last week there have been three arrests of Americans recruited by Al-Qaida: one Black, one Hispanic and one White. This has been a major fear of the intelligence community since September 11th. The fear is now a reality.

The recruitment is happening in our prison system with a special focus on the Blacks and Hispanics. Imams are playing the race card in their first appeal to the felons about Islam. They are telling them that Christianity is the religion that enslaved them – that Islam is an African religion and the religion that will give them their power back and their rightful place in society.

They are targeting single women via the Internet and also via bars. They know that single women are strapped for cash. Muslim men who are doing the recruiting (tall dark and handsome in the eyes of these American women) are offering financial security and stability, a home and a man who will love her, provide for her and protect her. They tell the women all she has to do is be a mother and the lady of the household – as God intended her to be cooking, shopping and visiting with her girlfriends.

At a time of financial difficulty in America, a lot of resentful Americans who lack stability and structure in their life are attracted to the appeal of Islam and what it has to offer including financial security. They have convinced themselves that they are not only joining a religion that will save their soul and life but also provide them with security and respect in this life and ensure eternal contentment in the hereafter.

The Hidden Harry Reid Agenda on Obamacare

By Tim Connolly

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is proving once again the maxim that darkness hates the light. Buried in his massive amendment to the Senate version of Obamacare is Reid’s anti-democratic poison pill designed to prevent any future Congress from repealing the central feature of this monstrous legislation! Beginning on page 1,000 of the measure, Section 3403 reads in part: “It shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.” In other words, if Obama signs this measure into law, no future Senate or House will be able to change a single word of Section 3403, regardless whether future Americans or their representatives in Congress wish otherwise!  (Obviously this is unconstitutional but why worry about that?) More Crazy Talk from ‘Muslims of the Americas’

By Ryan Mauro

The Muslims of the Americas organization (MOA) and their anti-Semitic leader in Pakistan, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, are back at it with the crazy talk. Apparently, the movie Avatar is a tool of Satan, and Gilani has the keys to save the day with his study of “Jinniology” and miracle-making abilities. For those who are unfamiliar with this group, the Christian Action Network (where I am the national security advisor) released a documentary last year called Homegrown Jihad about them and their isolated communities in the U.S. that are sometimes dozens of acres large. The film contains footage of Sheikh Gilani teaching his recruits all sorts of paramilitary tactics and telling his viewers to go to these Muslims of the Americas sites to receive such training.

The media is brushing off the threat posed by this group. They will only believe that paramilitary training is being offered if their reporters see it with their own eyes or if the group openly admits it. The media should be asking more questions about the ideology of the group and the beliefs of the man its members have committed their lives to following. [more...]

Public Schools Have Become Indoctrination Centers

By Joy Tiz

In Obamanutz:  A Cult Leader Takes the White House, I devoted an entire chapter to ‘the great American dumb down’ by way of explaining the variables that contributed to the installation of Barack Obama into the White House. Not content to merely throw away billions of your hard-earned tax dollars on substandard schools that refuse to teach the most basic academic skills, the Left has also hijacked your children’s social development.  Under the rubrics of teaching  ”diversity” and “social justice,” public schools have become indoctrination centers, dedicated to teaching impressionable young people that America really ought to be ashamed of itself.  The term “diversity” is liberal code that has nothing to do with the stated agenda of “multiculturalism,” which is supposed to be the study of different cultures.  Diversity, as defined by liberal academics, means pushing extreme left wing values onto innocent schoolchildren with impunity. Purple Bracelets a Sign of ObamaCare Solidarity?

By Kyle Olson

I thought it was odd that Robert Gibbs was wearing a purple bracelet (and a purple tie) during his appearance on “Fox News Sunday” and CBS’ “Face the Nation.”  SEIU president Andy Stern, the top visitor to the White House, wore a similar, if not the same, purple bracelet at one point, too. And in virtually every photo of Stern, he’s wearing SEIU’s purple color. The bracelet is kind of a signal to tell Stern that the administration has it under control and ObamaCare will be delivered.  Just a few more Democrats need to be shown the Chicago way. [more...]

When the president needed a break from twisting House members’ arms to vote for the Obamacare Senate bill that nobody wants, Hollywood brought over a movie. Not just any flick though – President Obama got a preview screening of the HBO series, “The Pacific.” The popcorn was ready at the White House screening room. This mini series supposedly gives the history of the Pacific front during World War II. Members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and some members of Congress rubbed elbows with Hollywood luminaries like HBO President Richard Plepler, director Steven Spielberg, and actor Tom Hanks.

Let’s remember Hanks started out as comedic cross dresser on the TV show, “Bosom Buddies.” Maybe he should have stayed a comedian. Time magazine put Hanks on their cover looking very serious next to the headline, “History Maker.” The sub headline read, “How Tom Hanks is redefining America’s past.”

The title of the article was, “How Tom Hanks Became America’s Historian in Chief.” From “Bosom Buddy” to “Historian in Chief?”  America has been good to Tom Hanks, but recently he hasn’t been too good to America. While promoting his new series, Hanks spouted that America wanted to “annihilate the Japanese because they were different.” He then drew a totally illogical parallel with the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In Hanks’ twisted history, our war with Japan had nothing to due with an attack on the U.S. or the fact that at that time Japan attempted take over an entire continent. They occupied nations, enslaved them and even engaged in ethnic cleansing. No, it was just our wrongly held bias toward people who believed in “different gods.” So what does Hanks think is going on with what used to be called the “war on terror?” [more...]

Where Is the 2012 Republican Candidate?

By John LeBoutillier

Because Mitt Romney is on a pre-2012 presidential campaign book tour, and because Sarah Palin is constantly in the news, and because President Barack Obama is in self-destruct mode, let’s take a look ahead at the present state of the 2012 GOP race for president. Romney is a bit hot right now. He is back in the news, on TV and on radio shows. With his business background, he can speak to the still-deteriorating economic situation. He has learned from some of his mistakes from the 2008 race, too. He now appears more humble. However, he also has many of the same problems from the past: He is a political chameleon who can change a position at the drop of a hat. He was an enthusiastic booster – and as governor, a signer – of Massachusetts’ own version of Obamacare. It is now widely unpopular in the Bay State and one of the reasons Scott Brown won in January. Talk Radio: The President’s Foot Soldiers Have Your Number

By Kyle Olson

NewsMax first reported that Organizing for America, the community organizing outfit under the auspices of the Democratic National Committee, has launched a plan to inundate talk radio shows with callers. The action will occur when a particular radio show is discussing ObamaCare.

This is an extension of OFA’s and Health Care for America Now’s campaign to flood last summer’s town hall meetings with union members and left-wing activists supporting Obama’s government takeover of health care. The intent then, just as it is now, was to drown out average taxpayers showing up to voice their concerns or vent their frustrations.  The intent is also to run out the clock on real debate and take a vote on health reform with as little resistance as possible. A Strong Case against Health Care “Reform” – Pt. 4

By Gerard Lameiro

It’s Not Constitutional – Article 1 Section 8.  A clear case can be made that health care “reform” is unconstitutional.  For starters, Article 1 Section 8 limits Congress and its abilities to create laws.  There is no reasonable way to interpret the Constitution as permitting Congress to dictate that an American join a mandatory health care program.  Also, health care “reform” can’t be considered a constitutionally sanctioned tax either because it does not uniformly apply to all citizens. A Strong Case against Health Care “Reform”

By Gerard Lameiro

It Means Higher Taxes and Additional New Taxes.  Yes, a new entitlement program for all Americans will cost lots of money.  Higher taxes and totally new taxes will be needed.  Already proposed tax increases include the extension of a 2.9% Medicare payroll tax to interest, dividends, capital gains, annuities, royalties, and rents for some tax payers.  An additional 0.9% payroll tax has also been proposed.  Forcing every American to purchase health care insurance (possibly at a higher cost) is also an implicit tax.

It Means Fewer Jobs.  Yes, taxes and jobs are closely correlated.  With higher taxes pulling dollars out of the private sector to pay for health care, comes declining investment dollars for new businesses and new jobs.  Government spending for health care has a much lower economic multiplier than private sector dollars spent for health care.  Overall new job creation will be lower under government-controlled health care. ‘Alice’ Premiere Tops ‘Avatar’ for 3-D Box-Office Record

By James Hirsen

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson must be smiling from above. The mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon, and photographer also did a bit of writing under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. The cinematic version of his story, “Alice in Wonderland,” was magical at the box office this weekend, bringing in an estimated $116 million in North America and $94 million overseas. The film’s opening beat out the debut of “Avatar” to become the largest 3-D premiere on record. But “Alice” owes “Avatar” a debt of gratitude for whetting the 3-D appetite of the public and bringing the new technology to more screens. 3-D makes the cost of a ticket rise, but people are willing to pay for the experience. Massa Said He’d Vote for Single Payer

By Kyle Olson

The controversy surrounding the accusations and resignation of Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) is a bit bizarre.  When he lashed out at the administration, and particularly chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, it was viewed as a peek beneath the veil of Washington inside baseball. It’s a veil few have the stomach to look beneath.  Regardless, Massa’s comments were seized upon as proof of what has been said all along about the administration’s tactics to do anything necessary to pass ObamaCare. Is Massa telling the truth? It seems plausible.  It certainly seems to fit the matrix of what the administration has done in the past to twist arms and pressure members of Congress to pass its bill. Julia Roberts and Hollywood Studios Passed on ‘Blind Side’

By James Hirsen

Way before Sandra Bullock was cast as the lead in the blockbuster movie, “The Blind Side,” execs at 20th Century Fox wanted Julia Roberts to star in the film. Roberts turned down the role. Fox reportedly wanted to alter the script and change the lead to a male. The film is based on the true story of Leigh Anne Tuohy, a Caucasian interior decorator in Memphis who adopts a homeless African American teen and assists the young man in achieving academic and athletic success. He is presently a starter for the Baltimore Ravens NFL football team.  Excerpt for more, GO HERE.

A Strong Case against Health Care “Reform”

By Gerard Lameiro

This week, President Obama is once again pushing hard for so-called health care “reform.”  Such health care “reform” might better be called government-controlled or government-dictated health care for every American.  With all the debate going on, let’s summarize the strong case against so-called health care “reform.”

It Means Fewer Jobs.

It Means Higher Health Care Costs.

It Means Higher Health Insurance Premium Costs.

It Means Some Health Insurance Companies Will Go Out of Business.

It Means Many Good Doctors and Practices Will Close Down.

It Means Lower Health Care Quality.

It Means Fewer Innovations in Health Care Products, Services and Pricing Models as well as Health Insurance Products.

It Means Fewer Health Care Choices for Patients.

It Means Health Care Rationing by Government Bureaucrats.

It’s Not Constitutional.

It’s Not Fiscally Sound.

It’s Not Necessary because there are much Better, Free Market Solutions Available.

It’s Not Wanted by the Majority of Americans in Poll after Poll. [more...]

Crack-pot Detroit Socialist Explains His, Unions’ Agenda for Soviet States of America

Militant socialists were out in full force Thursday, March 4th, for a “Day of Action to Defend Public Education.”  The nationwide event was organized by fringe, left-wing groups like Michigan’s “By Any Means Necessary,” Ohio-organized “Community Organizing Center for Mother Earth,” Los Angeles-based “County Peace and Freedom Party,” the “League for the Revolutionary Party” of New York, and North Carolina’s “Destroy Industry.” In Detroit, a chap representing the Che Guevara-loving, Mumia Abu-Jamal-supporting “FIST Youth” educated a crowd of about two dozen about the virtues of socialism.  He also lectured on the Soviet Union, its roots and the glory days when the “people’s council” made all of the important decisions.
